In English 10 today we discussed the following:
1.) Reviewed Rhythm
2.) Introduced to Melody- (Rhyme)single, double, triple, internal, imperfect, end
3.) Identified Rhythm and Rhyme in a variety of different poems
Monday
Today we did a basic introduction to our new poetry unit. These are the things we discussed
1.) Poetry terms(handout provided), poetry booklet and the four components of poetry
1. Rhythm 2. Melody 3. Imagery 4. Form
3.) Introduced to Rhythm- how poetry is measured based on syllables(beats), and line length (meter)
unstressed vs stressed syllables
